Khloé Kardashian Reveals Daughter True, 6, Believes She and Tristan Thompson Are Married – And She’s Not Rushing to Correct Her

Khloé Kardashian’s daughter, True, 6, believes her parents are married – and for now, Khloé isn’t looking to change that perception.
On this week’s episode of The Kardashians, the Good American co-founder prepared to celebrate her 40th birthday with a Dolly Parton-themed party. While driving with her best friend, Malika Haqq, the two discussed marriage.
“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Khloé shared, referring to her ex, Tristan Thompson.
Haqq reassured her, saying, “It’s just probably better for her. It’s not like she would really understand. It’s okay.”
Khloé agreed, explaining, “It is the right thing to do, in my opinion. Get married, have kids. That’s what I want to teach her.”
Keeping True Away from ‘Adult Problems’
In a confessional interview, Khloé admitted that while there is one thing about True’s belief that bothers her, she prefers to keep her children shielded from adult issues.
“True thinks that me and Tristan are married. The only thing that bothers me about that is that I don’t want her going through life thinking this is what a marriage is.”
She elaborated, saying, “That you’re married to someone, but they don’t live with you, you never have to kiss them, and you don’t sleep in the same bed together.”
Khloé also expressed her desire to set a different example for her children in the future.
“I would love my kids to see me have a husband one day. I want them to see love, affection, and romance. When True is older, I’ll explain everything to her. But right now, I believe you do things for your kids – because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
Khloé and Tristan’s Relationship History
Khloé shares True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with Tristan Thompson. The two had an on-and-off relationship for years before officially splitting in June 2021, after Khloé discovered that Tristan was expecting a baby with another woman.
Despite their history, Khloé and Tristan continue to co-parent their children.
