Throughout the early night of June 2, Ralph Dorn searched the lake’s floor behind his home for his Goldendoodle, Harley. Then he noticed the pup about 200 toes from shore; the 6-year-old canine was swimming with one other animal, which Dorn found was a tiny child deer after a couple of seconds.
Harley paddled beside the fawn all the way in which to shore. Dorn encountered the animals on land and assisted the fawn in climbing a tough cliff. Harley started gently licking the fawn’s physique after eradicating the child deer from the pond and inserting her on the grass.

Quickly after the fawn reached the ocean, the fawn’s mom got here on the garden. Dorn pulled Harley inside their adjoining dwelling after he noticed the mom deer. The doe moved away together with her child after Dorn and Harley had left.

Dorn tells PEOPLE that after the temporary reunion with Harley, the fawn settled down, and by the tip of the day, the child and its mom had been gone. Dorn hasn’t seen the pair since he estimated the fawn was a couple of days outdated.
