Marc Agnifilo, attorney for Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, addressed the public’s astonishment regarding the music mogul’s reported possession of 1,000 bottles of lube and baby oil. In an interview outside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where Diddy is being held as he awaits trial for charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, Agnifilo appeared to downplay the situation.
“I don’t think it was a thousand. I think it was a lot,” he chuckled, further suggesting that Diddy was simply taking advantage of bulk buying, given that there’s a Costco nearby. He defended the music mogul by stating, “This is consensual adults doing what consensual adults do,” emphasizing the need for a more open-minded perspective on sexuality.
Agnifilo reassured the public that Diddy remains focused and engaged with his defense team, asserting that his spirits are “relatively good” despite the circumstances. He noted the support from the detention center staff, claiming they have provided full access to Diddy and that he has no complaints about his treatment.
The attorney mentioned ongoing investigations following serious allegations that surfaced after a lawsuit from Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie, which included claims of sexual abuse. This led to federal agents executing raids on Diddy’s residences in Beverly Hills and Miami, although it’s unclear if the civil lawsuits directly influenced these actions.
Agnifilo also criticized the manner in which the raids were conducted, describing them as an overuse of military force, which he felt was unnecessary and disrespectful to Diddy’s family and employees.
While he believes they have defenses against the allegations, Agnifilo maintains a sense of optimism about Diddy’s outlook as they prepare for the legal battle ahead.
