Sean “Diddy” Combs was initially celebrated last year when he announced he would return music publishing rights to artists under his Bad Boy Records label. However, amid his recent legal troubles—including charges of racketeering and sex trafficking—former artist Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane is now speaking out to clarify the terms of her deal with him.
In the documentary *TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy*, O’Day revealed that she received a meager $300.30 in exchange for a full release of all claims against Diddy and others involved. She noted that the contract included a clause that prevented her from disparaging Diddy on social media or any other platform, essentially requiring her to remain silent about her experiences. “Once you sign it, it said you can never mention the existence of this contract ever again,” she explained.
When asked why such a clause might be included, O’Day speculated it was a strategy to keep people quiet. She expressed concern about the implications of being silenced, stating, “It asked me to not be able to have access to my story and my experience anymore…I realized something really bad is coming because this isn’t a man that was reformed.”
O’Day also emphasized that she was aware of Diddy’s controversial reputation even before the contract. “I knew all of that was going on… a whole lot of people do,” she asserted, cautioning others about entering into any personal or business relationships with him. “Diddy was not a safe human and that you should be careful if you’re planning on entering any type of relationship with him from business to personal,” she warned.
As of now, Diddy’s team has not publicly responded to the allegations raised by O’Day regarding the terms of her contract or her comments in the documentary.
