‘The Eras Tour’ and the concert film that goes with it were recently released, so we take a look back at Taylor Swift’s style development throughout the years.
It is undeniable that Taylor Swift has had a huge influence on the modern music industry, from her 2006 debut album to her most recent re-recording of the pop classic 1989. The 33-year-old multihyphenate, who was born in Pennsylvania, USA, on December 13, 1989, has released 10 studio albums and four remastered albums.
With the exception of her debut album, all of her albums have peaked at the top of the US Billboard 200, and her most recent releases, Midnights and 1989 (Taylor’s Version), became instant hits. It should come as no surprise that her current world tour, The Eras Tour, is one of the best-selling tours to date given all of her accomplishments as a recording artist.
Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets for the Singapore stop of the 2024 International leg, Swift decided to add three more dates, for a total of six shows. With the tour’s phenomenal sales, Swift became the first person to become a billionaire with music as their primary source of income. Some have likened it to the “Beatlemania” of the 1960s.
The Eras Tour concert film was revealed in late August, and on October 11 it made US$39 million on its opening day when it debuted in the US. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was a highly anticipated smash, so much so that eight other movies rescheduled their release dates to avoid competing with her concert film.
Swifties in Singapore went to the movies this past weekend in anticipation of her much anticipated tour here in Singapore next year, since the show was released locally on November 3.
Swift, who is now renowned for her “eras,” has also had her particular style distinguished throughout time. Her fashion choices appeared to have changed along with her musical releases and breakthroughs as a multi-talented artist, of course, affected by fads that come and go with time.
We examine Swift’s street style throughout her many eras below.
