Streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” (Speed) posted a short video on YouTube and desperately asked people to subscribe to his channel as he slowly fell behind his idol, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, on the platform.
Currently, Speed has 28.3 million subscribers. Meanwhile, the number of subscribers of UR Cristiano channel is 36.6 million and this number is constantly increasing rapidly.
“He’s only been on the channel for a day, I need everyone to subscribe now. I can’t lose to my GOAT. I’ve been streaming for 4 years guys,” Speed said, pleading with his audience.
Speed is known to be a huge fan of the Portuguese football star. He dresses up in Ronaldo’s clothes, goes to matches to cheer for his idol, shows off his iconic “siu” celebration everywhere, and even has a Lamborghini with his idol’s face on it.
In the short clip, the 19-year-old streamer declared that he would do everything to get more subscribers to his channel, not letting his idol easily surpass him. “Subscribe to my channel, everyone. I will do anything.”
When he saw the moment Ronaldo surpassed him on YouTube, Speed jumped up, smashed the table, and broke his equipment. “Oh my god, he just did it in a day, he surpassed me in a day!”, the streamer shouted.
Speed recently met professional NFL player Tom Brady. Brady expressed his desire to create a group chat with Speed and Ronaldo, allowing the streamer to interact directly with his idol.
When he heard that Ronaldo had created a YouTube channel, Speed also expressed his desire to cooperate. Most of the most “view-attracting” clips on Speed’s channel are mainly related to CR7.
