Taco Bell has brought back a fan-favourite menu item after high demand – but it won’t be around for long so you’ll have to be quick
Taco Bell fans can rejoice the fast food giant is finally bringing back a popular item customers have been missing from their menu.
The Mexican restaurant has reintroduced the Double Decker Tacos due to high demand which are back on the menu now for a limited time until the end of October after a very strongly worded message from a fan influenced the chain to bring them back. The tasty offering sees two tacos combined into one providing a taste sensation.
The creation features a hard-shelled taco filled with beef, lettuce and shredded cheese and then wrapped in a soft bean-filled tortilla. There is also a supreme version of the tasty offering which also has tomatoes and sour cream layered inside the taco shell. The reintroduction comes after one X user demanded they bring back the menu item.

Back in August after Taco Bell shared a post on X the social media user seized their opportunity to hit out at them and teasingly wrote: Bring back the Double Decker Taco, u cowards. The Double Decker Taco was last available in December 2023 and has been a regular feature at the restaurant over the years.
It was first introduced in 1995 before becoming a more permanent offering in 2006. It then spent many years on the menu as a mainstay before it was discontinued in 2019. Since then customers has seen it regularly pop up as an offering before it again disappears off the menu leaving them furious.

While grabbing their Double Decker Taco fans can also try out the returning Big Cheez-It menu items. Taco Bell and Cheez-It have decided to collaborate again after their previous limited run back in June. This time customers will see the XL cracker (which is 16 times the crackers usual size) being used to create the new Crunchwrap Supreme, Tostada and sold a la carte.
Customers can also grab a Big Cheez-It solo for $1 or opt for one of the creations on offer at the restaurant.
