BREAKING HOT: El Taiger Dies at 37 as Cuban Artist Shot in the Head in ‘Senseless Violent Crime’ .Cau

Cuban music artist El Taiger has died after being shot in the head in Miami.

The 37-year-old was found in the back of a black vehicle and was transported in critical condition to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was operated on but sadly died, police have said.

His family have released a tragic statement as they called his death the result of a “senseless violent crime”. The announcement translated from Spanish reads: “On the morning of Friday, October 4, 2024, Jose Manuel Carvajal, known as ‘El Taiger,’ was the victim of a senseless violent crime.”

They continued to explain that the musician had been found near the hospital and “immediately transported to the Emergency Intensive Care Unit”. The family added that they were “extremely grateful” for the medical staff who worked “tirelessly to provide him with the care he needed”.

They continued: “During this incredibly difficult time, family, friends and supporters joined together in prayer, hope and support, seeking a miracle. ‘To all who offered their prayers, we thank you.”

El Taiger last posted on Instagram a week ago with an eerie video of him sitting in a car while wearing a pair of shades and a red jacket. He wrote at the time: “Never forget.” The post has since been flooded with comments from heartbroken fans, with one writing in Spanish: “Those of us who came to see his last post right after the news .”

While another commented: “‘We lost a giant, someone who elevated Cuban music and made us vibrate with every track.’ Thank you so much Taiger for representing us and giving voice to the street of Cuba. Your legacy lives on in every corner and in the hearts of those who grew up with your music. Rest in peace, legend.”

A third wrote: “I think he knew he was in danger… this video should be studied by the police… I hope they catch the person or those who committed this horrible crime. May he rest in peace.”

“One dies when they forget and you will never be forgotten THE TRANCA OF REGUETON DE CUBA,” another wrote. One added: ” May God have you in glory. Rest in peace. LBMA.”

El Taiger had been a popular reggaeton musician who was born in Havana in 1990. He was interested in music from an early age and began his career in the industy in 2016 following the release of his debut album Taiger under Rottboyz record label. He went on to find fame with songs La Historia, Papelito and Habla Matador.

Over the years he worked with a number of other artists including The Yabo, Bebeshito, DJ Conds and Carly & Johayron.
